This year I am down to one final present – a unique bottle of wine – for a close friend I have know for many years.  As I have been struggling to find this special bottle of wine, I couldn’t help but wonder just how far somebody would go to get that special bottle of wine?  If you could not safely or reliably have the wine shipped to you, would you be willing to hop on a plane and travel half-way round the globe just to get your hands on a particular winery’s special vintage?  To what lengths have people gone to secure a specific bottle or case of wine?  What would you be willing to pay for just a single bottle of wine?  How much am I going to pay for that matter?  Just a few rambling thoughts from a wine guy on the hunt for more vino.

Cheers and Merry Christmas!
